The Vaccine Research Group conduct vaccine research and clinical trials in preventable diseases. Our dedicated team of health professionals draw on three decades of experience to explore the effectiveness, antibody
response and safety of vaccines.

Get Prepared for Winter!

The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity is calling for volunteers to be among the first in Australia to receive a new type of COVID vaccine as part of an important clinical trial. This trial is for an experimental COVID vaccine using new self-amplifying mRNA technology. Participants also will receive a licensed flu vaccine for free as part of the study. The safety and ability of the new vaccine to promote a protective immune response is being studied. It is being given with licensed flu vaccines and we will look at how the vaccines work when given together.

We are looking for participants who are:
- Healthy adults
- Have previously received at least three doses of licensed mRNA covid vaccines (eg. Pfizer or
Moderna)

The study includes receiving two vaccines on day 1 and one vaccine on day 29, as well as blood samples and follow-up for approximately 6 months.

You will be reimbursed for your travel and time on the study.
