"Frontiers in Biomedicine embraces an interdisciplinary type approach to biomedicine, looking at ethical, social, political, public health and biomedical topics in order to understand and link content. The subject is divided into four modules – Metabolic Syndrome, Stem Cells, Respiratory Health, and Mental Health. With this broader approach, the assessments are also less typical test-style and instead are more assignment based, although the subject still has both an MST and an exam.

Whilst the subject does contain plenty of content, it is definitely less than a usual biomedicine core subject, however all aspects of the content will be assessable, especially social and public health. Furthermore, the assignments may not necessarily be 100% related to the content you will be learning, but do relate to tutorials in the subject and are designed to develop broader student skills.

Overall the subject is very accessible and arguably the most unique biomedicine core because of the broad public health focus, and because of this many people enjoy the subject whilst others might not like this at all."
